When i heard the Somali pirates had been surrounded by US warships, i immediately concluded the saga was over. I thought the pirates would surrender without a fight or just run away and free the Ukrainian ship but these guys are not giving in. How does some panga wielding Somali pirates prepare for a showdown with several warships? How on earth??? Well , the answer is that the warships can do nothing but just watch and thereafter pay the ransom which the pirates are demanding. This is according to a maritime expert…

They may be cornered by high-tech U.S. destroyers and cruisers, but the sandaled pirates who seized a cargo vessel laden with Russian battle tanks off the coast of Somalia still stand a good chance of escaping unscathed or even being rewarded for their crime, maritime-security experts say. That’s because the task of boarding and overpowering armed pirates at sea on such a big vessel as the 530-foot Faina is exceptionally risky, the analysts say, and could lead to a massacre of the crew.”I don’t envy the captain of the Howard,” Peter Lehr, a leading expert on piracy in Somalia, said of the skipper of one of the sleek U.S. destroyers that moved into position Monday to shadow the hijacked ship. “You’ve got all this firepower but you can’t really use it.
“My guess is that some sort of ransom probably will be delivered to the pirates,” said Lehr, who researches seaborne terrorism at St. Andrews University in Scotland. “That’s how these cases usually work out.”

Actress Reagan Gomez (in the cover) was my first TV crush when she used to star in The Parent Hoods back in the dayz . She is still looking good and pretty sexy as she graces the cover of the prestigious King Magazine‘s 2008 Election Issue.

It all started well, Felipe Massa was leading and Kimi was almost overtaking Hamilton to take the second position but luck was not on Ferrari side. Piquet of Renault crushed out and it’s at this point the whole Singapore Grand Prix took a surprise turn, Massa run into pit-lane errors (and came last) and later Kimmi crushed out of the race with 4 laps to go. I felt like crushing my tele , Ferrari were poised for a number 1-2 position but it was never to be. Ferrari came out of the 1st ever street light grand prix without a point and Alonso went on to claim the victory. Here is what Massa and Kimi had to say about the unfruitful events…
Felipe Massa :
|
“It’s hard to deal with losing in this fashion a race that was within our grasp, with a car that was just the way I wanted it. We had a good strategy and all the signs were there that we could get a one-two finish. But things can change in a moment and that’s what happened today. At the pit stop, one of the guys made a mistake. But we are only human. Each one of us always tries to do our best and these things can happen. With the Safety Car still on track, I didn’t lose a lap, but then I got a drive-through and later I also picked up a puncture in the left rear. On this track it is almost impossible to overtake and ending up at the back meant I had not chance of getting into the points. Seven points to make up in three races? That can be a lot or it can be a little. We have the potential to do well, as we saw today and we will give it our best shot. We mustn’t give up and I’m sure we won’t.”

Kimi Raikkonen:
|
“I was trying to attack Glock in case he might make a mistake, but I went slightly wide at the chicane, jumping over the kerb and when the car landed, I lost control and ended up in the barriers. My situation in the championship was already rather compromised, so this doesn’t really make that much difference but I am unhappy because the team has lost precious points in the constructors’ classification. In the opening laps, the car was a bit difficult but then it improved a lot, to such an extent that I was able to close right up to Hamilton. When the Safety Car came out, I know my race was compromised given that I had to pit behind Felipe. I was able to get back up to fifth but then the incident I described earlier happened. Clearly, morale is not high today. But I am not used to giving up and will do my very best to try and help the team reach its targets.”

Who is to blame? Ferrari Technical team.

In unexpected twist of events, Lucille (the prettiest gal in the house) from Namibia was evicted from Big Brother Africa house in yesterday night eviction show. She becomes the second evictee from the show.
Immediately after the announcement, Uti got mad and started breaking and crashing anything on sight. The housemates were shocked and the whole house was in rage, confusion and anger.
Mimi cried her small heart out and the guy who is to blame for Lucille eviction , yep TK …hid himself in the toilet. Ooh boy!! TK is going home , he betrayed Lucille / he was just unfair and now it’s time for him to face the music as the other housemates prepare to gang up against him.

The first evictee from Big Brother Africa III house is Latoya the Tanzanian chiq. The controversial chiq who dumped Morris for Rico, and wuuuu had a mutchy mutchy kiss with Rico was evicted yesterday (September 21) on BBA3 eviction show. I will surely miss her during the shower hour..lol. But she has lot and lot of beef with Sheila, as always…Kenyans and Tz don’t rhyme but tooo bad…she is out of the house. Tawana was lucky this time as she got the least votes to be evicted and got the chance to get back to the house. Expect fire from her.

Ha ha ha not so fast, it’s not me but Frasha of P-Unit and Abbas (Kubaffu…lol). These two dudes are preparing to wed their respective fiancé later this year. But for Frasha, it’s kinda a formalisation of their “come we stay” with his sweetie of many years. Good luck to the two gentlemen as they kick bachelorhood out of their life….but we are right behind you.
